RYE PLAYLAND OPENS 5/2/2022 AND SOME VINTAGE RYE PLAYLAND TOO

With the news that Rye Playland will be oepning soon, we've had the annual request for "vintage Playland"...but first, here's the news for 2022:

RYE, NY — Rye Playland announced that its Opening Day is set for May 21, 2022 and limited time discounted Playland Season Passes are now available. You can purchase a discounted 2022 Playland Season Pass here. The pass includes unlimited rides and admissions with no blackout days for any public operating days.

1927--A SUNDAY AFTERNOON WITH "MRS." FALAISE---GLORIA SWANSON AND HER FRENCH HUSBAND AT THE CROTON-ON-HUDSON HOUSE

1927--A SUNDAY AFTERNOON WITH "MRS." FALAISE---GLORIA SWANSON AND HER FRENCH HUSBAND AT THE CROTON-ON-HUDSON HOUSE

Although not mentioned in the article, this is the Mt. Airy house. where she lived with her third husband...a French aristocrat  named Henri, Marquis de la Falaise de la Coudraye.  She married Falaise on January 28, 1925, after her divorce from second husband Herbert Somborn was finalized. Though Henri was a Marquis and the grandson of Richard and Martha Lucy Hennessy from the famous Hennessy Cognac family, he was not rich and had to work for a living. He was originally hired to be her assistant and interpreter in France while she was filming Madame Sans-Gêne (1925) with Warwick Ward. Swanson was the first film star to marry European nobility, and the marriage became a global sensation, ending in divorce in 1930.

IN THE NEWS - THE ESCALATING BLM SCANDAL, O BROTHER WHO PAID THOU, BLM BOSS "GRAFFITI ARTIST BRO RAKED IN $840k FOR "SECURITY"

A co-founder of Black Lives Matter used more than $800,000 in donations to pay her brother for “security services” for the charity even though he seems to mostly work as a graffiti artist.  Patrisse Cullors, the co-founder of Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, paid a company controlled by Paul Cullors $840,993 in fiscal 2020, according to the group’s federal tax filings, which cover the period July 1, 2020, to June 20, 2021.  It’s the first time BLMGNF has filed with the IRS since receiving more than $66 million in donations in October 2020.  MORE AT BLM paid Patrisse Cullors’ graffiti artist brother $800K for ‘security’ (nypost.com)
