ABOUT THAT "PANDEMIC AMNESTY"....HELL, NO

By MICHAEL BRENDAN DOUGHERTY

‘Forget everything, learn nothing’ is a bad way to ensure accountability for our institutions.

Emily Oster, writing at the Atlantic, asks whether we can all just forgive and forget about what we said and did to one another during the Covid-19 pandemic. On the question of masks, school closings, and the efficacy of this or that vaccine, some people got it right, and some got it wrong. But litigating this forever is a waste of time, she argues. The headline is “Let’s Declare a Pandemic Amnesty.”

HOLY NAME OF MARY KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS - HOW TO HELP A VETERAN DURING THE HOLIDAYS INITIATIVE---Holy Name of Mary Knights of Columbus Council 4730 (“Council”) with Holy Name of Mary, Croton-on-Hudson, NY (“Parish”) announces its Advent Veterans Program. In coordination with FDR Veterans Hospital, Knights are coordinating a community-wide drive to support two new programs for veterans.

1. Women Veterans New Mothers Program: quite simply, this is a basket of items essential for new mothers and their babies.

2. Veterans New Home Necessities Program: this is a basket of necessities to support veterans to move into their own home or apartment.

You can support these programs by purchasing any of the items below (see first comment) or you can make a donation to the Knights and they will purchase the items on your behalf. The total cost for a basket of all the items in each of these programs is $80 each. Donations can be for any amount. It does not have be the full cost of basket.

We have set a goal for our Council and Parish of providing 40 New Mothers baskets and 40 New Home Necessities baskets.

You can drop items off at the Holy Name of Mary Parish Center anytime between now and when the program closes, December 15. If you prefer to make a donation, please drop a check at the Parish Center at 114 Grand Street payable to Knights of Columbus Council #4730 and indicate on the check which program you would like to support. You can also make donations electronically via ZELLE to HNMKofC@hotmail.com.

FAUCI EMAILED FRIEND SAYING MASKS WERE INEFFECTIVE, PUSHED FOR MANDATES ANYWAY

Fauci emailed friend saying masks were 'ineffective,' pushed for mandates anyway, Missouri AG says
Brianna Herlihy--Fri, November 25, 2022 at 4:38 PM·2 min read

Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt said Friday that during his seven-hour deposition with Dr. Anthony Fauci, new information revealed that two months after Fauci told a friend masks were "ineffective," he supported mask mandates.

On Friday, the Show-Me State Republican attorney general tweeted a "tidbit" from his deposition with the outgoing head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases:

"Another tidbit from Fauci depo: In Feb ‘20 he emailed a friend advising her masks were ineffective. Confirmed again on Mar 31. On Apr 3 he’s adamant masks should be worn even though he couldn’t cite a single study to prove it. Mandates followed—Lives ruined.""COVID tyranny is born," Schmitt continued. READ MORE AT
