HOLY NAME OF MARY KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS - HOW TO HELP A VETERAN DURING THE HOLIDAYS INITIATIVE---Holy Name of Mary Knights of Columbus Council 4730 (“Council”) with Holy Name of Mary, Croton-on-Hudson, NY (“Parish”) announces its Advent Veterans Program. In coordination with FDR Veterans Hospital, Knights are coordinating a community-wide drive to support two new programs for veterans.
1. Women Veterans New Mothers Program: quite simply, this is a basket of items essential for new mothers and their babies.
2. Veterans New Home Necessities Program: this is a basket of necessities to support veterans to move into their own home or apartment.
You can support these programs by purchasing any of the items below (see first comment) or you can make a donation to the Knights and they will purchase the items on your behalf. The total cost for a basket of all the items in each of these programs is $80 each. Donations can be for any amount. It does not have be the full cost of basket.
We have set a goal for our Council and Parish of providing 40 New Mothers baskets and 40 New Home Necessities baskets.
You can drop items off at the Holy Name of Mary Parish Center anytime between now and when the program closes, December 15. If you prefer to make a donation, please drop a check at the Parish Center at 114 Grand Street payable to Knights of Columbus Council #4730 and indicate on the check which program you would like to support. You can also make donations electronically via ZELLE to HNMKofC@hotmail.com.
