CROTON HARMON HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 2022 SENIOR SPORTS AWARD CEREMONY

**The CHHS Class of 2022 Senior Sports Award Ceremony took place on June 9 at Senasqua Park. It was a perfect sunny and breezy evening. The Booster Club graciously grilled hot dogs and hamburgers and provided each Senior athlete with a Croton blanket and a gourmet cookie.

Athletic Director DJ Goldman recognized each team and athlete individually. DJ spoke enthusiastically about the highlights of the year and how he is looking forward to continuing to improve the athletics program.

School spirit at athletic events and student participation was high this year which was wonderful as Covid hampered sports for the last few years. The night games were especially well-attended and were made possible due to donations to fund portable lights.
The 2022 'Athlete of the Year' award went to Eleanor Harty. Eleanor is a 9 time letter winner and led the Varsity Volleyball team to the Section Finals. She will be attending Tufts University in Boston in the fall.

It's been called "a uniquely frank look at the modern family" by "an exceptional humorist on the order of Erma Bombeck and Jean Kerr" (Library Journal). 

It's very funny.
