1) This one is behind a paywall: Worry Over Student Surveying Leads Missouri Attorney General to Subpoena Seven School Districts; School surveys that collect information from students and create a perceived need for Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum have caught the attention of Missouri authorities.  Attorney General Eric Schmitt issued subpoenas this week to seven school districts that allegedly employ student surveys—created by education companies Panorama and Project Wayfinder—to gather data about parents’ political beliefs and income levels, as well as racial identity, sexual behaviors, and mental health. JAMIE POLLAK IS IN THE NEWS, THE RIVER JOURNAL

Jamie Pollak is a graduating senior at Croton-Harmon High School who is on her way to University of Massachusetts (UMass) Amherst for Pre-med and Human Biology.  Her high school sports career includes scoring 100 or more goals as a Midfield/Attack on Varsity Girls Lacrosse, which she played for four years, making All-League twice. The team also won the League Championship.

IN THE NEWS: OVER $200K BEING SPENT ON DRAG QUEEN SHOWS AT NYC SCHOOLS, RECORDS SHOW

As this has become a hot button issue locally.....

SUMMER FEST Dear Parishioners - Thank you so much to all the volunteers who assisted at Holy Name of Mary’s annual Summerfest event, especially to Jonathan Zamora and the Knights of Columbus for the setup and cooking. Thank you to our amazing bakers and everyone that spent their Sunday helping make this event a wonderful success. Your willingness to give so freely of your time and service is greatly appreciated. Your support of Holy Name of Mary’s mission allows us to serve many people in the community each year providing access to sacraments, faith formation, spiritual guidance, and a nice environment for families and friends to come and worship. Not to mention fostering friendship and just having fun! Congratulations to Emily McKay the 50-50 raffle winner in the amount of $1,570. Again, thank you so much for your willingness to donate your time and talent. Your efforts contributed greatly to the success of this event. We look forward to your continued volunteer involvement with Holy Name of Mary Parish. You shall remain in our hearts and in our prayers.
