The heavily armed shooter accused of killing six people at a Nashville Christian school left behind a manifesto and map outlining motives for the attack, authorities said Monday.

Police identified the attacker as Audrey Elizabeth Hale, 28, a transgender man who was assigned female at birth. Hale entered the Covenant school with an AR-style rifle, and AR-style pistol, and another handgun, police said.

“We have a manifesto, we have some writings that we are going over that pertain to this date, the actual incident,” Metro Nashville Police Department Chief John Drake said at an afternoon press conference. “We have a map drawn out of how this was all going to take place.” MORE AT Who is the Nashville school shooter who killed six at private Christian school? NASHVILLE SHOOTING---THE LATEST

The victims have been identified as Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney, all age 9. The adult victims are Cynthia Peak, 61, Katherine Koonce, 60, and Mike Hill, 61. Koonce was the head of Covenant School since July 2016 and worked in the Nashville area for over a decade.

"When we send our kids to school, we expect them to live, learn, have fun, and come back from that day's experience," Drake said. "We don't anticipate things like this."

Drake confirmed that law enforcement officials were on the scene at Hale's home. Officers recovered maps of the school that included entry points and a manifesto relating for the day's shooting, Drake said. There was another location mentioned, but due to security restrictions, Hale decided not to carry out a shooting at that school.

While the world’s governments pushed crippling Covid restrictions on their people, one nation – and one man – stood apart

In March 2020, as, one by one, every country in the Western world succumbed to panic and imposed a lockdown on its population, Sweden’s state epidemiologist held his nerve and stuck to the plan. The Swedish people would be given sensible advice and told to work from home wherever possible, but apart from a ban on gatherings of over 50 people and a few rules for restaurants, any Covid measures were entirely voluntary. Anders Tegnell simply didn’t think the evidence supported a lockdown. A veteran of the swine flu pandemic who had worked with the deadly Ebola virus, the 63-year-old doctor wasn’t going to do something unproven or plain stupid because a lot of over-heated people were yelling at him to do it.

THE LATEST FROM ETHICS ALARMS---ETHICS OBSERVATIONS ON "DIGITAL BLACKFACE' (HUH?)

You learn something every day, as the saying goes. This morning, it was that there is something called “digital blackface,” and Ethics Alarms engaged in it by posting the viral video of Tyra Banks flipping out on a contestant on her reality show “America’s Next To Model” 14 years ago.

Just to cut to the ethics verdict in case you have a sock drawer crisis: “digital blackface ” is G-A-R-B-A-G-E. Keep reading to learn why.

Naturally, CNN is promoting the concept, probably to intimidate people like me from posting videos of Don Lemon making an ass of himself. Here is how the article by CNN’s John Blake (who “writes about race, religion, politics and other assorted topics”) defines “digital blackface,” which he calls “one of the most insidious forms of contemporary racism”:

Digital blackface is a practice where White people co-opt online expressions of Black imagery, slang, catchphrases or culture to convey comic relief or express emotions… racialized reactions…mainstays in Twitter feeds, TikTok videos and Instagram reels, and are among the most popular Internet memes… White people laughing at exaggerated displays of Blackness, reflecting a tendency among some to see “Black people as walking hyperbole”… it “includes displays of emotion stereotyped as excessive: so happy, so sassy, so ghetto, so loud… our dial is on 10 all the time — rarely are black characters afforded subtle traits or feelings”…If a White person shares an image online that perpetuates stereotypes of Black people as loud, dumb, hyperviolent or hypersexual, they’ve entered digital blackface territory.
