JK ROWLING IS WASTING POLICE TIME WITH HATE LAW 'PROVOCATONS', SUGGESTS SNP

A senior SNP politician has accused JK Rowling of wasting police time and attacking Scottish “societal values” by testing new hate crime laws.

Karen Adam, who is convener of Holyrood’s equalities committee, launched a thinly veiled attack on the Harry Potter author in a defence of Humza Yousaf’s controversial legislation, which she hailed as an “incredible example of our commitment to justice”.

On the first day that the Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) Act came into force, Rowling deliberately “misgendered” a series of high-profile trans women, calling them men and challenging Police Scotland to arrest her.

The force declined to do so after receiving complaints, ruling that she had not committed a crime with her deliberately provocative social media posts on X, formerly Twitter. MORE AT JK Rowling is wasting police time with hate law ‘provocations’, suggests SNP (msn.com)

ANTI-ISRAEL AGITATORS SHUT DOWN SENATE CAFETERIA, AROUND 50 ARRESTED

The U.S. Capitol Police confirmed to Fox News that those arrested inside the Dirksen Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C., were charged with Crowding, Obstructing, or Incommoding.

"It is illegal to demonstrate inside any of the Congressional Buildings," Capitol Police said in a statement.  MORE AT

TRANS CHILDREN HAVE BEEN LIED TO BY ADULTS--THE CASS REPORT MAY NOW SEE THE LEGAL DAM BREAK

Opinion by Suzanne Moore
I remember as a teenager reading about a strange disorder called anorexia. I had never heard of it – and then I noticed one of my best friends cleaning her teeth several times a day and exercising manically. And it wasn’t just her that was acting weirdly. Several girls I knew were clearly suffering. Then came bulimia, which turned the school loos into sad places in which certain girls spent worrying amounts of time.

Then, as a mother of daughters, I remember reading about an epidemic of cutting among teenagers. Surely this highly unusual behaviour was not rampant? Well, the internet told me it was and an NHS psychiatrist informed me about self-harm circles in certain schools.

These thoughts occur because I am trying to understand how we started talking of “trans children” and thought this was somehow some kind of “progress”. This, after all, is a new phenomenon. In 2010, for instance, with the Equality Act, which made gender reassignment a protected characteristic, the intention was surely to avoid discrimination against adult transsexuals. This is a laudable aim but no one was talking about children then. The phrase “gender dysphoria” was not bandied about. It was rare to come across a child who had such severe gender issues they needed specialist services. Indeed in that year, only 75 children were referred to Gids (the NHS’s Gender Identity Development Service, based at the Tavistock centre in north-west London). By 2021 it was 5,000.

Now we are in a situation where celebrities wear T-shirts saying Protect Trans Kids and where schools, even primary schools, are colluding with the idea that children are whatever they say they are, that their bodies are somehow wrong and that they can change their names without parental consent. IN THE NEWS--JOHN KERRY SHOWS "NAKED CONTEMPT" IN FINAL REFUSAL TO SHARE CLIMATE OFFICE IDENTITIES

BOSTON — Outgoing climate jet-setter John Kerry is again showing his “naked contempt” for transparency by refusing to reveal his staff in an office that has operated in the dark since its inception. Kerry is now being moved to President Joe Biden’s campaign committee with longtime Democratic strategist John Podesta replacing him.

Kerry informed the Herald in a “final” response to a Freedom of Information Act request submitted in July of 2022, that the full identity of his office staff will never be released.

“This action closes your request in this office,” he declared via the State Department’s Statutory and Compliance Division.  READ MORE AT John Kerry shows ‘naked contempt’ in final refusal to share Climate office identities (msn.com)

Saturday's big party for our retiring pastor Fr. Nelson Couto

Yes Fr. Nelson Couto who is officially retired but will still be in residence here at Holy Name of Mary. The new Pastor is Fr. Christian Amah, originally from Nigeria. He was ordained about eight years ago.

So Fr. Nelson originally from India - he arrived in the US in 2002 and came to our church in 2010. I don't think he ever expected to be a pastor, but when Fr. Brian Brennan became ill (cancer) and had to step down about five years ago, Nelson stepped up. He has a wonderful sense of humor and great rapport with people (OK homilies can run a little long...) and we are lucky he will stay here for the foreseeable future.

Saturday's party - the biggest crowd I can ever remember for an event at our Church. (CLICK ON THE PHOTO BELOW). We think about 240 people. READ MORE AND SEE PHOTOS AT
