THE TIMELINE OF EASTER TRADITIONS, PAUL RACE

The Timeline of Easter Traditions -
by Paul Race, from Family Christmas Online(TM)

Easter is one of the two times a year when the secular and spiritual world collide - what began as the holiest of Christian holy days is now nearly as well known for things like candy and rabbits and new clothes as it is for its spiritual meanings. To me, the spiritual aspect of Easter has always been the most important, but I never saw a problem with the eggs and rabbits or the other "secular" aspects and icons of Easter, even after well-meaning people told me that many of them were co-opted from ancient pre-Christian cultures. After all, you could say the same thing about some of our Christmas traditions, and no one to my knowledge has gone to Hell for bringing evergreens into their home in December.  MORE AT

Are you looking for an organization to volunteer with that will provide you with a rewarding experience?
Do you want to help your community, earn community service credit and learn life saving skills?
The Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department has one of the oldest and most established Junior Firefighter / Explorer programs in our region. Teens age 14-17 can join our department as Explorers (14 & 15) or as Probationary Active Firefighters (PAF) (16 & 17).
As an added bonus to joining, there are a number of scholarship and tuition reimbursement programs, including Westchester’s H.E.R.R.O. Tuition Reimbursement Program to help offset the cost of your higher education.
Our department currently has over two dozen Explorers/PAFs that participate in training, drills, emergency responses, parades and other functions as part of the CFD.
This past week, we appointed Angelo Spinelli as Captain and Xan Cohen as Lieutenant of Explorer Post 2089. These two will help lead the program with the help of their Advisors, whom are senior members within the Croton FD.

JULIE BINDEL--TRANS ACTIVISTS ARE ERASING WOMEN FROM MOTHERHOOD

Trans activists are erasing women from motherhood---Story by Julie Bindel

Yesterday, JK Rowling posted a tongue-in-cheek commemoration of Mother’s Day on X: “Happy Birthing Parent Day to all whose large gametes were fertilised resulting in small humans whose sex was assigned by doctors making mostly lucky guesses”.

Every single word that Rowling used in that (quite frankly, hilarious) post has been used in all seriousness by trans activists and their allies, with people sternly told off for failing to adhere to it.

Plenty of other ludicrous words have been used too. Last year, the General Medical Council removed the word “mother” from its maternity guidance, because a tiny number of women that identify as transmen have had babies and insisted that they are the child’s father. Once they’ve given birth, they will be “chestfeeding”. In 2022, one publisher used the deeply offensive term “womb carriers” when describing how women were “sterilized against their will” in the 1970s. The whole absurdity is capped off by the Orwellian phrase “her penis”, deployed by newspapers to describe the offences of male prisoners identifying as women.

Perhaps I should stop describing myself as a lesbian and opt for “non-man attracted to non-men” instead.  READ MORE AT Trans activists are erasing women from motherhood (msn.com)

BY SPECIAL REQUEST---HOW NOVAK DJOKOVIC RESPONDED TO THE DEATH OF THE REPORTER WHO ATTACKED HIM OVER HIS VACCINATION STATUS

Blessedly, the debate over the COVID vaccine has died off. The ‘Karens’ have retreated into their darkened lairs. The world has reopened. No one sane wears masks anymore. Only the weirdos and the Democrats continue to abide by the social distancing protocols that were ineffective. Yet, while these Fauci commandments were atrocious, the drama over the vaccine will never fade. We were lied to about the efficacy. The madness over the mandates turned some of the world’s best athletes into social pariahs, even barring them from competition.
