A data breach may have exposed information related to some students at a school district in Northern Westchester.

The breach was announced by Mount Pleasant Central School District Superintendent Peter Giarrizzo on Friday, Feb. 17, who said that several student email passwords may have been compromised by the incident. Unusual Odor' In Hudson Valley Sparks Fears Of Contamination From Chemical Train Derailment-- Michael Mashburn

Environmental officials in New York are investigating multiple reports of strange odors in the air, sparking concerns they may be tied to the chemical train derailment in Ohio and its subsequent fire.

In a statement to Daily Voice on Friday, Feb. 17, the state Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) said it is responding to reports in the Hudson Valley of an “unusual odor in the air.”

Croton-Harmon School District to Inaugurate Sports Hall of Fame

The Croton-Harmon Athletic Department is excited to announce its Hall of Fame initiative. We hope to celebrate the accomplishments of our Tigers and to induct the inaugural class during a ceremony at halftime of a Homecoming Football game in fall 2023.

Nominations will be reviewed by a committee of alumni and faculty who represent multiple decades of graduating classes from Croton-Harmon High School (CCHHS).

Nomination forms can be completed and returned to DJ Goldman, Director of Athletics, on a rolling basis. Deadlines for inductee classes will be determined at a later date.

Goldman said the Croton-Harmon Hall of Fame will be located in the Main Hall of the building, near the gymnasium, as well as on the school’s website. TRADITIONAL CATHOLICS SLAM APPALING FBI REPORT LINKING THEM TO WHITE NATIONALISTS

Traditional Catholics slam ‘appalling’ FBI report linking them to white nationalists by DANA KENNEDY----Carol Rhodes, a member of a conservative Catholic media organization based outside Detroit, was shocked recently to learn that her group was one of nine traditional Catholic groups being cited by the FBI as radical and extremist.

“We don’t hate anyone. We’re very peaceful,” Rhodes, a member of the traditional Catholic media site Church Militant, told The Post. “This is America. We have the right to practice our faith. It was really over the top to hear all this. This is crazy and doesn’t make any sense.” An eight-page dossier leaked by former FBI agent Kyle Seraphin earlier this month indicated that the FBI’s Richmond, Va., office, at the behest of the Department of Justice, was going after “radical traditionalist” Catholics and their possible ties to “the far-right white nationalist movement.”

“The FBI’s Richmond Division would like to protect Virginians from the threat of ‘white supremacy,’ which it believes has found a home within Catholics who prefer the Latin Mass,” Seraphin wrote on Uncoverdc.com, where he leaked the memo. ........The dossier, which was put together with help from the Southern Poverty Law Center‘s list of alleged “hate groups” with Catholic ties, has since been deleted after a media backlash.
