Celebrate National Quilting Day Our Saviour Lutheran Church – Croton-on-Hudson, NY (oursaviourcroton.org)

Join us on Saturday, March 18 to celebrate National Quilting Day and help us make quilts to be donated to Lutheran World Relief for distribution to people in need around the world. Drop in any time between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. No experience is necessary and light refreshments will be served.

We are seeking donations of clean cotton fabric yardage, sheets, and curtains that can be repurposed into quilts. Financial donations are also accepted and will go directly to Lutheran World Relief for Ukraine, Turkey, Syria, and elsewhere.

NEW FROM EFSP: RITA MORENO

Puerto Rican actress Rita Moreno (1931) is one of the very few performers to win the Oscar in 1962, the Grammy in 1972, the Tony in 1975 and her first of two Emmys in 1977. Moreno is best known for her role as Anita, the girl of the leader of the Puerto Rican street gang the Sharks in the classic musical West Side Story (1961). She was the first Hispanic woman to win an Oscar when she received the Academy Award for best female supporting actor for this film.

Morabito Community Center located at 29 Westbrook Drive in Cortlandt Manor. Join us on March 7th (snow date Wednesday, March 8th) at 11:00am for an afternoon of glam, glitz and prizes.
