**Two Stuck in Marsh Rescued by Helicopter Today**
At 1:20pm Friday, Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department, Ossining EMS (Croton EMS handling multiple other incidents) and Westchester County Police were dispatched for two subjects stuck in the marsh on the south end of Croton Point Park.
Car 2081 (Chief Munson) arrived first and began assigning apparatus and members to begin a search. Crews from Rescue 18 & Utility 14 began a west to each search while members of Engine 118, Engine 119 & Utility 208 worked with Car 2083 (Assistant Chief Colombo) from the east to west. To assist with the “land, sea and air” rescue approach, a helicopter from WCPD and a boat from Millwood FD were also requested. Aviation was able to get eyes on the subjects and were able to rescue them - one at a time - from their precarious situation. They airlifted each to awaiting EMS to be evaluated as a precaution.
Working together the CFD, OVAC & WCPD made relatively quick work of the situation. One subject was taken by a Croton EMS Ambulance to a local hospital for evaluation.
Our thanks to @ossiningems whom provided 2 Ambulances initially, @crotonems and @wcpdny for their assistance today - as well as the Dispatchers at Westchester County Fire Control and Westchester County Police for helping us pinpoint the subjects.
