PORTLAND IN THE NEWS---WALMART TO CLOSE REMAINING STORIES AS CRIME-RIDDEN CITY BATTLES SDHOPLIFTING WAVE

Walmart to close remaining Portland stores as crime-ridden city battles shoplifting wave - Walmart will close its last two stores in crime-plagued Portland, Ore., as the city contends with a relentless wave of shoplifting that has hammered retailers. The closures, set for March 24, come months after CEO Doug McMillon warned the discount retailer was seeing a spike in “shrink” — a term the retail industry uses to address losses related to in-store theft or fraud.  MORE AT Walmart to close remaining Portland stores as city faces shoplifting crisis (nypost.com)

Discover Westchester’s 2022 Private and Public High School Rankings

Methodology: Data was collected on the high schools from the towns listed in the table provided. Most of the data was collected from the New York State Department of Education website, U.S. News & World Report, or directly from the high school. In instances where data values were not available or applicable, we used the weighted average of that school’s scores from the categories for which we did have data. Thus, it would neither help nor hurt their ranking. This occurred with only a small number of values.

IN THE NEWS---ANTHONY FAUCI HID THE TRUTH ABOUT COVID, UNTIL NOW

Anthony Fauci hid the truth about COVID, until now --Opinion by Gregg Jarrett •

New emails show Dr. Anthony Fauci commissioned scientific paper in Feb. 2020 to disprove Wuhan lab leak theory

Dr. Anthony Fauci had every reason to cover-up the truth.

Documents show he played a vital role in funneling through a third party roughly $600,000 in taxpayer money to the Wuhan laboratory in China where the deadly COVID virus may well have leaked. The funds were earmarked for dangerous gain-of-function research that can transform a virus into a lethal "superbug."

On Wednesday, Dr. Robert Redfield, an experienced virologist who served as the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, testified at a hearing on Capitol Hill that "it is not scientifically plausible" that the virus somehow originated in animals or bats and then spread to humans.

Fauci knew this because Redfield and four other knowledgeable experts told him so. But Fauci —an immunologist, not a virologist— feared that his suspected complicity in engineering the virus would be revealed. He was determined to suppress the lab leak evidence and, instead, peddle the natural origin theory to the public. He "wanted a single narrative," said Redfield. That "inaccurate" narrative appears to be an effort to absolve himself in the deadliest man-made catastrophe in history.  MORE AT Anthony Fauci hid the truth about COVID, until now (msn.com)

Antithetical to Science’: Ex-CDC Director Takes Fauci to Task for Suppressing Lab-Leak Theory By BRITTANY BERNSTEIN

March 8, 2023 5:24 PM---Former CDC director Robert Redfield testified Wednesday that Dr. Anthony Fauci’s suppression of the Covid-19 lab-leak theory was “antithetical to science.”

Redfield testified before the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic on Wednesday that he believed very early on that the virus looked engineered.

He said he had several calls with Fauci, WHO chief scientist Jeremy Farrar, and WHO director Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in which he “expressed as a clinical virologist that I felt it was not scientifically plausible that this virus went from a bat to humans and became one of the most infectious viruses that we have in humans.” MORE AT Ex-CDC Director Takes Fauci to Task for Suppressing Lab-Leak Theory | National Review
