Judge: Rockland County's NYC migrant restraining order to remain in effect

A temporary restraining order that prevents New York City from sending migrants to Rockland County will remain in effect for the time being.  After a hearing Tuesday afternoon, state Supreme Court Judge Thomas Zugibe extended the temporary restraining order until June 14.  During the proceedings in New City, Judge Zugibe also scheduled a virtual hearing for Thursday on attempts by the Armoni Inn & Suites to reopen. A garbage hauler that lost its contract to run Westchester’s recycling plant after the owner's son passed off strip club visits and other personal spending as business expenses has failed to pay a $300,000 fine, the county alleges in a lawsuit.  City Carting of Westchester Inc. had agreed to wrap up its handling of the Westchester recycling operation and pay the fine in a January 2022 settlement of violations brought against the company.  MORE AT Westchester NY sues City Carting recycling company over unpaid fine (lohud.com)

BLM IN THE NEWS---DONATED JUST AROUND 30% OF ITS NEARLY $87M IN RECENT CASH TO OTHER CHARITABLE FOUDNATIONS

The most prominent Black Lives Matter nonprofit has disbursed only around a third of its recent cash hauls to other charitable nonprofits.

The BLM Global Network Foundation, the movement's primary nonprofit, raised roughly $87 million in contributions between mid-2020 to mid-2022. However, a bulk of the cash came between July 1, 2020, and June 30, 2021, during the movement's height and before the once-prominent organization saw a drastic collapse in donations.
