A visitation for Timothy will be held Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand St, Croton-On-Hudson, New York 10520. A mass of christian burial will occur Friday, December 8, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Holy Name of Mary Church, 114 Grand Street, Croton-on-Hudson, New York. A burial will occur Friday, December 8, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Bethel Cemetery, Old Post Rd S & Cleveland Dr, Croton on Hudson, New York.

PHOTOS BRIGGS LANE BRUSH FIRE---FROM THE CROTON FD FB PAGE---We ended November just before midnight tonight with a brush fire at the corner of Warren Road and Briggs Lane.

2081, 2082, 2083, E118, T10 & U14 extinguished a 150’ x 50’ fire containing mostly dead brush using a hose line from Tanker 10.

Members operated for an hour extinguishing the fire and soaking down the area to prevent any flare ups.

Company says state law could delay dismantling Indian Point by 8 years

Environmental activists won big when Gov. Kathy Hochul signed a new regulation into law, prohibiting the release of nuclear wastewater into the Hudson River. But it could have some unintended consequences.

Village of Buchanan Mayor Theresa Knickerbocker says closing the Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant is going to have a huge impact. She says the village lost half of its revenue following the closure.

But since the initial announcement, the village has prepared for life after Indian Point.
