In the news - Every Senate Democrat votes against defining pregnancy as unique to biological females--Virginia Aabram - 2h ago

IN THE NEWS: TOWNHALL, 'MAJORITY OF AMERICANS REGRET TAKING COVID VACCINE" AND COVID'S SECOND DEATH TOLL DAMNS OUR "EXPERTS"

The blog continues to receive a number of questions and commentary on this issue of the covid vaccine.  As you know, a number of credible, peer-reviewed studies---and recent medical admissions of menstrual irregularities, immunity issues, clots, etc---are raising concerns. However, as always, you must do your own research. COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS must be referred to the media source(s) cited.

Poll: Majority of Americans Regret Taking Covid Vaccine

In an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal, UCLA Geffen School of Medicine Doctor Joseph Lapado and Yale School of Public Health Doctor Harvey Risch are sounding the alarm that there may be serious underestimated risks involved with the side effects of the Wuhan Coronavirus vaccine.

This comes as an independent pollster found that a significant number of Americans regret receiving the vaccine in the first place.

10 percent of those vaccinated said they wish they hadn’t done so, while 15 percent of adults said they have been diagnosed with a new condition by a medical practitioner weeks or months after the first dose.

Children’s Health Defense (CHD) authorized the poll two years after the first vaccine was rolled out.

“The fact that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports more than 232 million Americans ages 18–65 have taken at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and 15 percent of those surveyed report a newly diagnosed condition is concerning and needs further study,” Laura Bono, CHD’s executive director said.  MORE AT

COVID’s second death toll damns our ‘experts’--COVID has killed a million-plus Americans. But the disastrous US policy response — blunt-instrument shutdowns and endless fear-mongering — has inflicted its own terrible toll, per numbers gathered in a Wall Street Journal report.

One ugly example: Data show a serious spike in deaths from heart attacks (4.1%) and strokes (5.2%) in 2020 over 2019. Why? Likely because policies and rhetoric on isolation and social distancing caused people to miss doctor visits and avoid hospitals.

And US drug-overdose deaths hit a hideous record, topping 107,000 in 2021, up about 15% increase from 2020, which was up nearly 30% from 2019. “We’ve never seen anything like this,” said the Centers for Disease Control staffer in charge of mortality numbers.

Social isolation, job loss and widescale disruption of everything we once took for granted in the name of “slowing the spread” was a driving force here (along with the influx of fentanyl across our southern border under President Joe Biden).

With schools shut, jobs gone remote and everyday interaction policed, mental-health issues also soared. The 18-25 age group saw the worst effect: one dataset shows 9.7% of that group suffering serious mental illness in 2020.  MORE AT https://nypost.com/2022/08/06/covids-second-death-toll-damns-our-experts/

THE STARLIGHT DRIVE-IN T-SHIRT---AND NOW A WORD FROM CHRISTIAN EPTING AND LOST LANDMARKS--Our salute to one of NY's coolest and oldest drive-ins...The Starlight Drive-in!

Growing up in the Croton on Hudson area, certain businesses stuck out to me, usually because I played on the Little League team sponsored by the business. Berger’s Stationery. A little shop downtown called Import Corner. And my very first team ever, Starlight Lanes. Located right next to the bowling alley was the Starlight Drive-In theater which provided some of my fondest memories growing up. I think the first movie we went to see there was Herbie the Love Bug. We saw many others, but it was never really about what was playing when I went there. It was about the experience. It was wearing our pajamas in the car. It was about waiting for our dad to get back from the snack bar. It was about the mysterious contraption that got rigged on the inside of the driver side window so that everybody could hear the sounds of the movie. This classic drive-in, which opened back in the 1940s, was located right on Route 9, and another thrill was when you would drive past the theater at night and be able to sneak in 15 or 20 seconds of whatever happened to be playing. Of course, you couldn’t hear anything but that didn’t matter. It’s still felt like you were getting something for free. I remember when the drive-in came down when I was in sixth grade back in 1973. It really felt like the end of an era. Also the end of the innocence, or at least the beginning of the end. Whenever I’m back in the area and I drive past I look at the site today, which has been developed into a shopping center. But I can still see the big screen. I can still picture my sisters and I all cozy in the backseat. I can still feel my youth. – Chris*Our tees run slightly small. If you prefer a form fitted tee they are perfect.
