Story by Hannah Lacy • Yesterday 5:57 AM Parents in Wyoming have filed a lawsuit against their daughter’s school district after they found out the school had used a male name and pronouns for her without telling them. Sean and Ashley Willey are both teachers as well as parents to six children, and they found out their daughter had been “affirmed” as a boy from other teachers at a school training event last year. The couple is claiming it is a violation of their family's privacy, parental rights, and religious freedom for the school to not inform them.

The school district is now trying to have the lawsuit dismissed, arguing that it did not cause any harm. But a US district judge has yet to rule on the case, according to the New York Post. MORE AT Couple Sues School District for Letting Their Daughter Identify as a Boy for Months (msn.com)

NY TAXPAYERS BLOOD SHOULD BOIL OVER MASSIVE COST OF NOW-CANCELLED COVID APP

NY taxpayers’ blood should boil over massive cost of now-canceled COVID app. Here’s who made bank…July 7, 2023 | Melissa Fine

Just two years after then-New York Governor Andrew Cuomo unveiled an Orwellian COVID-19 passport app — the “Excelsior Pass” — as a way to gain entry to indoor activities such as eating or working out, the barely-used, often glitchy NYS Wallet App is being shut down.

“Because demand for instant access to vaccine records has subsided, the NYS Wallet App will be discontinued on July 28, 2023,” read the push notification that went out to 11.5 million New Yorkers, according to the New York Post.

Calling it “a relic of New York’s covid police state,” Post columnist Rikki Schlott writes of the announcement, “It could have been a cause for celebration for liberty-loving New Yorkers, had we not spent an eye-watering $64 million on the app.” NY taxpayers’ blood should boil over massive cost of now-canceled COVID app. Here’s who made bank… (bizpacreview.com)

Warwick Valley School District officials addressed Thursday the issue of lithium-ion batteries that burned on their campus.

News 12 reported on two recent incidents – a dayslong fire at a storage site on County Route 1 and fumes being emitted from a storage site on Church Street Extension. Now, officials say they don’t want that kind of battery to be sent to them anymore.

There are still months of investigation ahead, but the district engineer gave the first idea of what may have gone wrong.  He suspects the housing that protects the batteries failed and moisture got inside.....,more at  Warwick Valley superintendent demands changes following lithium-ion battery fire (news12.com)

HOW TO CREATE A FAKE NEWS CYCLE BY PIERRE KORY

Despite the best efforts of the mainstream media to pillory him as an anti-vaccine conspiracy theorist, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is having a moment. A recent poll from CNN of all places showed him earning 20 percent of Democratic primary voters – and that was before his Joe Rogan interview and shirtless push-up video went viral. Kennedy’s support only confirms the titanic loss of trust between voters and mainstream media.

Except for those in the business, few people understand the inner workings of the media world. As a doctor and lifelong Democratic voter who pulled the lever for Biden in 2020, I had no clue. Prior to COVID-19, I trusted that what I was reading represented the truth. My experience running the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC) quickly disabused me of that idea.

The first wave hit in December 2020, when I testified in the Senate that corticosteroids were saving my COVID patients’ lives. My recommendations weren’t just ignored – they were attacked, and I was personally ridiculed as a fraud and Trump puppet. My life and career were upended. I felt forced to resign my faculty position. It was cold comfort when a few months later, a large study confirmed my testimony and government agencies added steroids to the standard of care for COVID patients.

I struggled to make sense of it through much of 2021. The Biden administration and the mainstream media single-mindedly pushed untested vaccines even as the FLCCC accumulated more and more evidence that cheap, generic medicines could stop COVID. As I detailed in my new book, The War on Ivermectin, simply presenting evidence that doctors were using the medicine to treat and prevent COVID around the world was a dog whistle for the mob.

After this crash course in media manipulation, I was much savvier and learned to spot the tactics. When in September 2021 Rachel Maddow tweeted a local news story to her 10 million followers about Oklahoma hospitals being overrun with ivermectin overdoses, I knew it was fake news.

The report quoted a doctor claiming that patients overdosing on ivermectin were backing up rural hospitals.  MORE AT How To Create a Fake News Cycle ⋆ Brownstone Institute
