Hen Hud Searches for New Superintendent as Hochreiter Departs

The Hendrick Hudson Board of Education is seeking input from the community about the qualities they would like to see in a superintendent of schools following the recent resignation of Joseph Hochreiter.

Hochreiter, who led the district since 2013, took a sudden leave of absence at the end of February after the board began discussing getting rid of The Princeton Plan elementary school learning model just a few months after it was implemented. He was hired by The City School District of Albany as its new superintendent of schools, effective June 1.

He signed a three-year contract with an annual salary of $248,000 in Albany,........MORE AT Hen Hud Searches for New Superintendent as Hochreiter Departs | The Examiner News

IN THE NEWS--CHINESE MILITARY HAD DEEP TIES TO WUHAN LAB SUSPECTED OF COVID-19 OUTBREAK, CABLES SHOW

Chinese military had deep ties to Wuhan lab suspected of COVID-19 outbreak, cables show by Jerry Dunleavy, Justice Department Reporter -- June 17, 2023 03:00 AM

Newly-unearthed State Department cables show the United States government’s early concerns about the deep ties and research collaboration between a Wuhan lab and the Chinese military amid the search for COVID-19’s origins.

The heavily-redacted cables, which warned about the connections between the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) and the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in the summer of 2020, were obtained by U.S. Right to Know through the Freedom of Information Act, and appear to be based upon information analyzed by the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), which is essentially the U.S.’s unofficial embassy in Taiwan. NOW THE NY TIMES TURNS ON FAUCI

Now New York Times turns on Fauci: guest essay slams efforts to tamp down lab leak theory--Opinion by Sophie Mann For Dailymail.Com • Yesterday 7:59 PM

The New York Times appeared to turn on Dr. Anthony Fauci in a recently published opinion essay that criticized the former NIH director's approach to information sharing during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Times contributing opinion writer Megan Stack wrote a column titled 'Dr. Fauci Could Have Said a Lot More,' that primarily explored the government scientist's stifling of the COVID lab leak theory that most Americans have now come to believe.

Stack, a former China correspondent, wrote that Fauci and British zoologist, Peter Daszak, were early to refute in near absolute terms the theory that the novel coronavirus sprung out of the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
