IN THE NEWS----SHAMED CRYPTOCURRENCY BILLIONAIRE BROKE THE BANK FOR DEMS

Shamed Cryptocurrency billionaire broke the bank for Dems By Miranda Devine November 14, 2022 | 12:56am
Amid all the jubilation and gloating by Joe Biden, Chuck Schumer and pals over the Democrats’ better-than-expected showing in the midterms comes a disturbing story that may explain something about how they won such a curious election. Biden’s second-biggest donor, cryptocurrency billionaire wunderkind Sam Bankman-Fried, a k a SBF, saw his business file for bankruptcy days after the election, but not before pumping $40 million into the Democratic Party to spend on “get-out-the-vote” and other shadowy ballot-harvesting mechanics for the midterms. Meet the First Female President of the County’s FIRE Organization

November 14, 2022 Robert Schork

In October, Cortlandt resident Angela Outhouse was sworn in as the first female President in the 116-year history of the Westchester County Volunteer Firemen’s Association (now firefighter’s association — more on that later). A career nurse who volunteers as an EMT for both the Buchanan Fire Department and the Croton EMS, Outhouse answered the call of duty even at her swearing-in celebration when she treated an attendee who suffered a medical emergency just before the ceremony began.Outhouse being sworn in as the new president of the WCVFA.

We caught up with Outhouse to discuss what it’s like to be a volunteer firefighter/EMT in Westchester — and a female one at that — and what she hopes to accomplish as she assumes leadership of the organization representing more than 1,200 of the county’s volunteer first responders. Nov 14, 2022 By: News 12 Staff

A Somers High School teacher will be back in the classroom today as controversy still brews over her lesson on "white fragility."  Administrators stopped part of the lesson after they received complaints.  Students say Allison Ferrier has not been back since. School Superintendent Dr. Raymond Blanche wrote a note to students and parents this week saying that Ferrier is coming back to the classroom on Monday.  He said she used an unauthorized book last week.  MORE AT Somers teacher to return to classroom after 'white fragility' lesson was stopped mid-way (news12.com)

VAN CORTLANDT MANOR’S GHOST ROOM

Welcome to The New Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton -- our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools -- in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

VAN CORTLANDT MANOR’S GHOST ROOM--The oldest house in Croton, particularly rich in history during the Colonial era, has its share of ghost stories. In 1900, author Marion Harland visited Van Cortlandt Manor, then still occupied by members of the Van Cortlandt family, for her book Some Colonial Homesteads and Their Stories. Harland wrote that “the ghost-lore of the ancient homestead is rich and authentic.”

One of the members of the family told her a story about the Ghost Room. “A young lady visiting us in September, 1863, was asked if she minded sleeping in the Ghost Room, as it was a long while since any mysterious sounds had been heard there. She was told that if she was nervous, a servant would occupy the adjoining apartment. She laughed at the query, and had no belief in or fear of apparitions. In the morning she came to the breakfast-table, pale and ill-at-ease. After breakfast, she confessed to having awakened, suddenly, feeling that someone was in the room near her bed. Presently, it took the definite shape of a woman, dressed in a brown gown, with a white handkerchief crossed over her breast. A large apron, a bunch of keys at her side, a mob cap and long ear-rings completed the figure. It remained for what seemed a long time, and twitched the bed-clothes off, disappearing as the whistle of the two o’clock train was heard.” Read more at THE CROTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY FB PAGE HERE.

PFIZER & MODERNA BEGIN CLINICAL TRIALS TO DETERMINE ADVERSE HEART RISKS FROM COVID-19 VACCINES SUCH AS MYOCARDITIS

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an emergency use authorization (EUA) for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine on Dec. 11, 2020. A week later, the FDA issued an EUA for Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine. Now, nearly two years later, Pfizer and Moderna will launch clinical trials to track adverse health issues stemming from the COVID-19 vaccines, such as myocarditis – inflammation of the heart muscle.

Pfizer is in the infancy of beginning clinical trials to determine if there are any health risks associated with their own vaccine. In a partnership with the Pediatric Heart Network, the trial will focus on vaccine recipients who have suffered heart issues following being jabbed with the COVID-19 vaccine. The clinical trials will monitor patients for five years.

Enrollment for the study in the U.S. and Canada has not started yet. However, the research team has already identified more than 250 patients with myocarditis, according to Dr. Dongngan Truong – a pediatrician at the University of Utah Health and a co-lead on the Pfizer study.   MORE HERE.
