IN THE NEWS--FROM "TRUST THE SCIENCE" TO "TRUST THE TYRANTS"--WHY THERE MUST BE NO PANDEMIC AMNESTY & NEW YORKER MAGAZINE WRITERS ADMITS FEAR TO CRITICIZE BLM, COVID ETC.

Opinion by Christopher Tremoglie: FROM "TRUST THE SCIENCE" TO "TRUST THE TYRANTS"--WHY THERE MUST BE NO PANDEMIC AMNESTY

Liberals, Democrats, and every left-winger who vilified Republicans as murderers during the pandemic have a lot of nerve calling for a "pandemic amnesty." These people criticized, condemned, vilified, and tried to silence anyone who rejected the Left's pandemic narrative. Their abusive and authoritarian nature was laid bare by this event. And now, after most of their claims have been proven wrong, they want a full pardon for their behavior?

I don't think so.

It would be one thing if this were just about disagreements regarding specific suggestions or recommendations as to the handling the pandemic. But the Left deliberately attacked people and even tried to ruin them if they disagreed with their commands. These are people who closed small businesses so that larger company stores could flourish. They held the common folk to different standards than they held themselves. They emphasized the necessity of wearing masks while shunning and criticizing those who didn't — then they would be caught breaking their own rules when it inconvenienced their elite lives.

Consider just some of the despotic actions against those who disagreed with the Left. MORE AT From 'trust the science' to 'trust the tyrants': Why there must be no 'pandemic amnesty' (msn.com)

EDUCATION,WEINGARTEN IN THE NEWS--ONE OF THE WORST COVID TYRANTS WANTS FORGIVENESS

One of COVID's Worst Tyrants Wants Forgiveness...American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten is calling on Americans to grant amnesty to COVID tyrants.

Given Weingarten was one of the worst offenders during the pandemic, driving parents and teachers away from public schools in droves, it's no wonder she's asking everyone to simply forget about it. She's a main reason student test scores are in the toilet and why kids across the country have been set back for years after AFT lobbied the CDC to keep schools closed. ABOUT THOSE BOOSTERS---A SECOND STUDY SHOWS THAT......

Two studies are raising doubts about whether the new omicron BA.5 booster really will offer better protection against Covid than the first generation shot.

Scientists at Columbia University in New York City found the new boosters did not produce a better antibody response in humans against BA.5 than the first-generation vaccines. A separate study by scientists at Harvard essentially came to the same conclusion. ........
Dr. Paul Offit, a member of the FDA’s independent vaccine advisory committee, said public health officials should be cautious about overselling the shots as a major upgrade.

“We have to be careful when we get in front of the American public and try and sell this vaccine as something that’s significantly better when all the evidence we have so far doesn’t support that,” said Offit, an infectious disease expert at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, who worked on the team that developed the rotavirus vaccine.

AQUAMAN TURNS 80, NEW FROM TRAVALANCHE

November, 1941 — 80 years ago — marked the debut of the comic book superhero character Aquaman.

As a kid in the ’70s I followed Aquaman’s adventures in DC comic books and on Saturday morning cartoon shows like Super Friends. The oceanic hero was frequently the butt of jokes about his narrowly limited skill set — basically villains needed to be near the water in order for Aquaman to do battle with them, usually by using his telepathic ability to command fish. TIME FOR EVERYTHING: MUSICAL ADAPTATIONS OF KOHELET
10/26/2022 11:12:28 PM

On Sukkot, it is traditional to read from Kohelet, the Book of Ecclesiastes, one of the scrolls of the Bible. A major theme of Kohelet is the futility of mundane pursuits and pleasures, and the search for deeper meaning to life. Sukkot is also known as the Festival of Ingathering. It’s the time of year when the harvest has ended, and the crops are gathered and stored for the coming year. It’s a moment of great satisfaction, as one can see the fruits of his labor before him.

Kohelet reminds us that mundane accomplishments are fleeting and empty. Even at the close of the harvest, we must seek real achievement and fulfillment.

Sukkot itself demonstrates this theme by the commandment to live in temporary dwellings. MORE AT A Time for Everything: Musical Adaptations of Kohelet (tinw.org)
