DETROIT-AREA CITY BANS PRIDE FLAG FROM PUBLIC PROPERTY

BY RICK MORAN 10:58 AM ON JUNE 15, 2023--Share Twee--The old arguments for recognizing the LGBTQ community above other communities by flying the Pride flag don’t pack quite the punch they used to. Some people — other minorities, and especially religious communities — are pushing back and making the simple argument that taking their sensibilities into account about the Pride flag isn’t “hate” or discrimination.  MORE AT Detroit-Area City Bans Pride Flag From Public Property – PJ Media

LOHUD---ROCKLAND SUGGESTS GOV'T. AID FOR MIGRANTS IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL---HERE'S WHY

Welcome to The New Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Rockland suggests gov't aid for migrants is 'unconstitutional.' Here's why--Asher Stockler and Chris McKenna--New York State Team

Rockland County, one of several Hudson Valley counties that sought to bar the transport of asylum seekers, is now suggesting that offering local government assistance to asylum seekers may be unconstitutional. In a new emergency order, County Executive Ed Day doubled down on an argument that Rockland had previously made against supporting migrants, suggesting that aid targeted to homeless migrants and asylum seekers might illegally discriminate against everyone else. ALEX BERENSEN---UNREPORTED TRUTHS---IT FINALLY HAPPENED...

It finally happened.

Someone who'd ostracized me during Covid said it out loud: "You were right. Never again."

ALEX BERENSON--JUN 11, 2023

It was maybe the most humiliating moment of my Covid life.

Summer 2021, the Twitter-ban era: a friend of one of our kids came to our house to play. When they realized I - not my wife - was supervising, the child’s parents told us they were uncomfortable and would retrieve their kid immediately.

They weren’t joking. They arrived in minutes. They made a three-point turn in our driveway so they were facing out and wouldn’t spend any extra seconds close to me.

I watched their child run to their car, watched it disappear down the road, thinking: Now my kids are paying the price, too.

Yesterday the mother of that child told me I’d been right about the lockdowns - and about Covid generally. The conversation wasn’t long---read more at It finally happened - by Alex Berenson - Unreported Truths (substack.com)

JOHN HOPKINS PULLS "LESBIAN" DEFINITION AFTER UPROAR OVER USE OF "NON-MEN" INSTEAD OF "WOMEN"

Story by Matt Lavietes • Yesterday 3:57 PMJohns Hopkins University removed an online glossary of LGBTQ terms and identities this week after its definition of the word "lesbian" used the term "non-men" to refer to women and some nonbinary people and fueled an online uproar.

Screenshots of the glossary before it was taken down showed that the university defined the word "lesbian" as a "non-man attracted to non-men." It added that while past definitions have referred to lesbians as women who are sexually attracted to other women, the "updated definition" is intended to include nonbinary people who may identify with the label.

"The LGBTQ Glossary serves as an introduction to the range of identities and terms that are used within LGBTQ communities, and is not intended to serve as the definitive answers as to how all people understand or use these terms," Megan Christin, the university's director of strategic communications, said in a statement Wednesday. "While the glossary is a resource posted on the website of the Johns Hopkins University Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI), the definitions were not reviewed or approved by ODI leadership and the language in question has been removed pending review."

Christin did not respond to questions regarding when the online glossary was first uploaded.

Screenshots of the glossary sparked an online firestorm in recent days, with many women, including some lesbians, calling the definition "misogynistic" and noting that the definition for "gay man" did not use comparable language, such as "non-women." MORE AT

BERENSEN, UNREPORTED TRUTHS, SARS---COV-2, CHINESE LAB, KATHERINE WU

The truth about the lab leak is leaking out

Two new investigative pieces - one from the UK, one on Substack - offer more proof Sars-Cov-2 came from a Chinese lab. Will the elite US media take note, or will Katherine Wu et al keep telling tales?

ALEX BERENSON--JUN 13, 2023

Chinese military scientists worked secretly alongside civilian researchers to make coronaviruses more dangerous at the Wuhan laboratory suspected as the source of Sars-Cov-2.

And the civilian researcher helping lead that effort was along three scientists at the lab who became sick with a respiratory virus in late 2019, before anyone in the world had heard of Covid.

And a Chinese military vaccine expert at the lab died after the outbreak began in 2020, supposedly after falling from the lab’s roof.

These revelations came from two major new investigations published in the last 48 hours, one in the Times of London, the other in Michael Shellenberger’s “Public” Substack.

Together, they suggest that despite the best efforts of China, and its handmaidens in the American media - most notably the Atlantic’s Katherine J. Wu - the truth about the origins of Sars-Cov-2 is emerging.

(NO ONE’S HANDMAIDEN, AND MOST OF ALL NOT CHINA’S)

Of course, Wu had help in promoting the absurd theory that raccoon dogs - which have NEVER been found naturally infected with Sars-Cov-2 - are the source of the epidemic. MORE AT The truth about the lab leak is leaking out (substack.com)
