WHITE HOUSE DELETES TWEET BRAGGING ABOUT SOCIAL SECURITY INCREASE AFTER INFLATION FACT CHECK

White House Deletes Tweet Bragging about Social-Security Increase after Inflation Fact Check--The White House on Wednesday quietly deleted a tweet from the prior day boasting that Social Security payouts have risen the greatest amount in ten years under the Biden administration.  The now-scrubbed tweet read, “Seniors are getting the biggest increase in their Social Security checks in 10 years through President Biden’s leadership.”

Some time after the tweet went live, an “added context” disclaimer appeared on the text, noting that the increase wasn’t an intentional decision on the part of the president’s.  READ MORE AT White House Deletes Tweet Bragging about Social-Security Increase after Inflation Fact Check | National Review

EDUCATION ISSUES: "LEFT" BEHIND ALARMED PARENTS GO TO DESPERATE LENGTHS TO COMBAT 'WOKE" SCHOOL IDEOLOGIES, DIVERSITY, IDENTITY

'Left' behind Alarmed parents go to desperate lengths to combat 'woke' school 'ideologies'

“Kids are feeling like they can’t speak openly about their views and parents are noticing the toll it’s taking,” an educational consultant told The Post.

____________

For the past decade, Paul Rossi has worked in education, but in the past year, the 53-year-old Queens resident has been getting some niche requests. Well-off private school parents are coming to him for advice on how to navigate the city’s increasingly woke schools.

Families pay him $150/hour for help finding private schools with what he calls “traditional, individualistic values.”

A dad moving to Illinois sought out Rossi’s services earlier this year when searching for a school for his two kids where the emphasis would be on critical thinking, not blindly adhering to supposedly liberal ideas about diversity and identity. READ MORE AT

November 1, 2022 Rick Pezzullo Cortlandt--Town officials and residents who live in the neighborhood near New York-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital on Route 202 in Cortlandt were presented last week with different alternatives for two projects in the proposed Medical Oriented District, or MOD.

Representatives for Evergreen Manor and Gyrodyne appeared at a work session at Linda Puglisi Town Hall Oct. 24 for the first time since May after ongoing discussions throughout the summer with Town Board members and town staff.

Evergreen Manor, headed by local developer Val Santucci, took center stage with two separate proposals for Town Board members and the public to review.

One concept unveiled for three parcels totaling 28 acres was 114 assisted living units, 90 townhouses (75 two-bedroom, 15 three-bedroom), 100 rental apartments (70 two-bedroom, 30 one-bedroom) and 7,000 square feet of retail.

A second concept eliminated rental apartments, had the same amount of retail space, 120 assisted living units and 130 townhouses. READ MORE AT
