LOUISIANA FARMER FACING ECONOMIC HIT AFTER SOCIAL MEDIA POST TOUTING HIS CATHOLIC FAITH CALLED OUT PRIDE MONTH

Louisiana farmer facing economic hit after social media post touted his Catholic faith, called out Pride month--A Louisiana farm is facing devastating backlash for its pro-faith social media post.

Owner of the Backwater Foei Gras farmstead, Ross McKnight, has lost two-thirds of his restaurant business after he made an Instagram post commemorating the Catholic celebration of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, leaving his “tiny” family-owned farm under intense economic pressure.

In the post, he referred to the “attempted coup of the month,” referring to Pride Month. He then suggested “some antidotes to a false pride.” Louisiana farmer facing economic hit after social media post touted his Catholic faith, called out Pride month - Wall Street PR

BY SPECIAL REQUEST---JOURNEY TO BIRTH, SUMMERFEST 2014 AND 2015

Welcome to The New Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship---in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

A reader was trying to remember some sort of midwifery practice that used to exist in the upper village.  It could only be.....JOURNEY TO BIRTH....

FAST FORWARD to the recent request: if there were any photos a "local midwife business" that dressed in character from the BCC series CALL THE MIDWIFE  and "marched in a Summerfest parade".

Indeed there are! JOURNEY TO BIRTH MIDWIFERY was based in the Upper Village; one of the midwives was Susan Schmidt, the wife of former mayor Dr. Gregory Schmidt.

Click on the photos below from Summerfests 2015 and 2014 featuring the midwives and more from JOURNEY TO BIRTH (NO LONGER ACTIVE to our knowledge) in their homage to the BBC series character attire. The t.v. series, assorted seasons, is available on Amazon.
