A reader was trying to remember some sort of midwifery practice that used to exist in the upper village.  It could only be.....JOURNEY TO BIRTH....

FAST FORWARD to the recent request: if there were any photos a "local midwife business" that dressed in character from the BCC series CALL THE MIDWIFE  and "marched in a Summerfest parade".

Indeed there are! JOURNEY TO BIRTH MIDWIFERY was based in the Upper Village; one of the midwives was Susan Schmidt, the wife of former mayor Dr. Gregory Schmidt.
