LIONS CLUB LETTER TO THE EDITOR AND 2024 SUMMERFEST 50/50 RAFFLE WINNER/PHOTO

Welcome to The New Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship---in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Lions Club Letter to the Editor---and 2024 Summerfest 50/50 Raffle Winner/Photo too! (Click on the photo below.)

The Croton Lions Club participated in Croton’s Summerfest with a booth to showcase what the Lions do and who they are. Many people came and inquired about what the Lions do, with some showing interest in joining the Lions.  If you are interested in volunteering, being involved and having fun - you can do this as a Lions member. The work we do helps improve the community. We are service-minded people that serve the community without personal financial gain.

The Lions did a 50/50 raffle to raise money for charitable projects and student scholarships. The raffle went very well with many people coming to  our booth to support the Lions. A local person won the raffle and was ecstatic that he won and contributed to our fundraiser.

The event was well attended by fellow members, and they all seemed to have a good time. The Club hopes to have many more events to promote the work we do.

The Croton Lions are part of the largest worldwide service organization with more than 1.4 million members in more than 200 countries, in more than 48,000 clubs.

NEW FROM THE CROTON CHRONICLE: IS CROTON PLANNING BOARD SET TO APPROVE CUTTING DOWN TWO MORE TREES AT KATZ SITE?

NEW FROM THE CROTON CHRONICLE: MICHAEL BALTER

Is Croton Planning Board set to approve cutting down two more trees at Katz site?

A resolution for the Planning Board to approve the cutting of the trees is all prepared and ready to go. But who approved the developer damaging them during construction of a retaining wall?

At this evening’s Planning Board meeting, Tuesday June 4, board members appear to be ready to approve the cutting down of two more trees at the Katz property (now known as Maple Commons) in the area of the so-called “pocket park” now under construction at the corner of Maple and Municipal Place. For reasons that are not clear in the supporting document, these two trees were not included in the original tree survey. The Planning Board is the approving authority for the issuance of a Tree Removal Permit. MORE AT Is Croton Planning Board set to approve cutting down two more trees at Katz site? (substack.com)

NEWLY RELEASED EMAILS SHOW FAUCI'S NIAID DELIBERATELY USED TYPOS TO EVADE FOIA REQUESTS

June 3, 2024----Newly released emails show Fauci’s NIAID deliberately used typos to evade FOIA requests By Olivia Murray

The cover-up continues to unravel at an astonishing rate.

On May 22nd, Dr. David Morens appeared before a congressional subcommittee to testify on the coronavirus “pandemic,” and what was presented was nothing short of explosive; Morens was (he’s now on administrative leave) a “senior scientific advisor” for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) under the direction of Anthony Fauci.

Greg Piper of Just the News reported on the hearing, noting perhaps the most shocking detail of all—Morens’s emails revealed a certain professional practice at Fauci’s NIAID, and that was the implementation of typos, a deliberate misspelling of certain names and words, as a measure to evade detection on FOIA requests. (FOIA stands for Freedom of Information Act, and anyone can file these requests with federal offices and agencies to gather information that would have previously been out of public view.) Here’s what Piper wrote:

GOP staff released a report that showed Morens – now on administrative leave – bragging to Daszak that ‘there is no worry about FOIAs’ because Fauci is ‘too smart to let colleagues send him stuff that could cause trouble’....MORE AT Newly released emails show Fauci’s NIAID deliberately used typos to evade FOIA requests - American Thinker
