Did you have a mentor in the process of understanding environmental law and how to use it?

I had a couple of mentors. One was John Adams, who was the head of NRDC [Natural Resources Defense Council]. And then Robert Boyle, he was a Sports Illustrated outdoor writer and editor for 60 years. And he founded the Hudson River Fishermen Association, and it was just a bunch of commercial fishermen and recreational fishermen—they were almost all former Marines.

In 2007, there was only one pediatric gender clinic in the United States. Now there are close to 100. It's impossible to overstate just how quickly the Left has radicalized on the issue of so-called "gender affirming care." None of the people pushing this harmful pseudoscientific nonsense believed it 10 or 15 years ago.

According to data collected by Komodo Health and analyzed by Reuters, a total of 121,882 new diagnoses of gender dysphoria were added for patients ages six to 17 between 2017 and 2021. Neighbors Seek to Block Likely Approval of Cortlandt Hotel

Neighbors of a 93-room Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Cortlandt are trying one last attempt to convince the town’s Planning Board not to approve the project next week.

Petitions containing close to 100 signatures were submitted Friday as the Planning Board gets ready to consider a resolution on Sept. 5 giving its blessing to the five-story hotel that would be constructed on a 2.4-acre site near King Buffet on Route 6.

“I do believe that these petitions should give pause to their fait accompli thoughts,” stated Michael Marx, one of the coordinators of the petition effort.

The hotel, which also requires a height variance from the Zoning Board of Appeals, is located across the street from where a new gas station and convenience store are being built. The hotel is slated to include an outdoor parking lot with 101 spaces, a courtyard deck, indoor swimming pool, fitness center, small conference center and a full bar and grill. A few years ago we stumbled upon this Francis X. Bushman and Clifford Harmon, Croton Connection---for the movie Social Quicksands.  We always wondered about this film and found more.  Click on the images and links.

The stars Bushman and Bayne would marry---followed by a bitter divorce.  In 1918, he was the subject of a national scandal as his affair with longtime costar Beverly Bayne became public. Three days after his divorce with Josephine was final, Bushman and Bayne were married; they would eventually have a son.  Bushman and his studios had kept his marriage secret for fear of losing popularity.
