Seven Mid-Hudson municipalities named Pro-Housing Communities

ALBANY – Seven of the first 20 municipalities in New York to be named Pro-Housing Communities are in the Mid-Hudson Valley.

THE CROTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY POSTED THIS---click on the photo---this is the MT. AIRY PUBLIC SCHOOL--MT. AIRY PUBLIC SCHOOL
What’s now 186 West Mt. Airy was a one-room schoolhouse, built circa 1880s on the foundation of an earlier Quaker school which had been rebuilt (some sources say moved) next door to 190 West Mt. Airy.
Grades 1 through 9 were taught there to children from nearby farms. The school became a private home in the 1920s, owned by George Pezanowski.
