4) We are receiving inquiries about whether or not a BLACK LIVES MATTER flag has ever flown at the municipal building; we believe the answer is NO. However, you should contact them and ask directly---(the village has flown a rainbow PRIDE FLAG for the month of June in the past).  A few of the local churches had BLM signage---most have been removed.  Again you should make our own direct inquiries.

Mt. Pleasant Declares State of Emergency After Learning of Plans to House Migrants--May 26, 2023 Martin Wilbur

Mount Pleasant Supervisor Carl Fulgenzi

Mount Pleasant Supervisor Carl Fulgenzi declared a state of emergency Friday over the migrant crisis, believed to be the first municipality in Westchester to take that step

Fulgenzi issued the declaration just before noon, saying that he felt compelled to act because he learned of an organization within the town preparing to accept migrants.

The town later disclosed that the Pleasantville Cottage School had been making arrangements to house migrants.

The supervisor mentioned that Mount Pleasant does not have the resources to deal with an influx of people. He also said housing a large number of people violates the town’s zoning code, whether it be at a hotel, where visitors cannot stay for more than 30 days consecutively, or another facility where there are other requirements. NEWSWEEK----CANDACE OWENS URGES TARGET BOYCOTT IN VIRAL MESSAGE----"PERVERTED COMPANY"

Candace Owens has joined the chorus of conservative voices calling for a boycott of Target, branding the retailer a "perverted company" over its recently unveiled range of clothing and accessories for LGBTQ+ Pride Month.

In recent days, videos have been shared on social media showing items from the retailer's collection. One clip showed a T-shirt with the slogan "trans people will always exist" and a babygrow featuring the words "bien proud" in the colors of the LGBTQ+ flag. It also included a rainbow neck pillow, multi-colored fairy lights as well as a trans flag.
