Welcome to The New Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship---in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

NEWS 12 REPORT---TODAY'S RALLY TO SAVE THE RIVER---Protestors raised their voices and their concerns Saturday about Holtec International's plans to dump millions of gallons of radioactive wastewater into the Hudson River.

The company is in charge of decommissioning the now-closed Indian Point nuclear power plant. Holtec International says it has pushed back the date of the radioactive water dumping to allow more time to address the public's concerns.

The plan to dump that water into the river, however, received plenty of pushback from the demonstrators in kayaks on the Hudson.

The "Rally to Save the River" event drew crowds to the Town of Cortlandt to demand a safer method of the wastewater disposal. READ AND SEE MORE AT

NASHVILLE OFFICIALS SAY THEY WILL RELEASE AUDREY HALE'S MANIFESTO, THEN QUICKLY BACK DOWN

Nashville officials say they will release shooter Audrey Hale’s manifesto, then quickly back down-- The release of Covenant School shooter Audrey Hale’s manifesto has been delayed yet again, as Metro Nashville Police Department officials claim their attorneys told them to hold off amid a pair of lawsuits.

The decision came just days after the MNPD and Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee said the materials would soon see the light of day.

Police cited their attorney’s advice and blamed recent litigation for the change, bemusing the lawyer behind one of the two lawsuits filed demanding the information be released. Nashville police hold release of Audrey Hale manifesto (nypost.com)
