IN THE NEWS - CHARGES DROPPED AGAINST PRO-LIFE ADVOCATE FOR SILENTLY PRAYING OUTSIDE ABORTION CLINIC

Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, a pro-life advocate and charity volunteer arrested for allegedly praying outside an abortion clinic, is continuing to seek legal action against United Kingdom authorities after prosecutors dropped charges against her.

Vaughan-Spruce was arrested in December 2022 after officers accused her of silently praying outside an abortion clinic in violation of England’s Public Protection Order zones that prohibit any kind of demonstration or “anti-social behavior” to protect abortion clinics. On Friday, the United Kingdom’s chapter of Alliance Defending Freedom, a public interest legal group, announced in a press release that prosecutors had dropped the charges, but Vaughan-Spruce intends to pursue legal action anyway to get a “clear verdict.”  MORE AT Charges Dropped Against Pro-Life Advocate Arrested For Silently Praying Outside Abortion Clinic | The Daily Caller

EDUCATION ISSUES-----ABOUT THAT MARYLAND BLACK LIVES MATTER CURRICULUM

'Speciesism' is oppression against plants, animals: Public school district assigns students 'privileged or oppressed' worksheet

CANDACE HATHAWAY February 03, 2023

A Maryland public school district provided students with a worksheet that explained various types of oppression, including "speciesism," or the oppression of plants, flora, and animals, according to documents obtained by Parents Defending Education, Fox News Digital reported.

Howard County Public School System had teachers assign students a "Privileged or Oppressed? Worksheet" from the district's Black Lives Matter curriculum.
by Taboola

The worksheet listed 13 types of oppression, including racism, sexism, classism, elitism, religious oppression, anti-Semitism, militarism, ageism, adultism, heterosexism, ableism, xenophobia, linguistic oppression, and speciesism.

The worksheet outlined "non-target groups" and "target groups" for each type of oppression listed. For example, racism was explained as targeting "people of color (African, Asian, Native, Latino/a)" but not targeting "white" individuals. The worksheet taught students that heterosexism oppresses "gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender" people, not heterosexuals. Religious oppression was defined as targeting "Muslims and others," but not "Christians, Protestants." It also stated that militarism often targets Vietnam veterans but not those who served in World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Gulf War, Operation Iraqi Freedom, or the Afghan War.

Lastly, the worksheet explained that speciesism is another form of oppression that targets "animals/plants/flora."

The BLM curriculum instructed students to identify "the places where they enjoy privilege and places where their status causes them to lack privilege." MORE AT 'Speciesism' is oppression against plants, animals: Public school district assigns students 'privileged or oppressed' worksheet - TheBlaze

A LOOK BACK AT CROTON'S MARCH OF DIMES BY SPECIAL REQUEST

Welcome to The New Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

The March of Dimes Foundation which has since taken up promoting the general health of pregnant women and babies, initially began as the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis. The name "March of Dimes"—coined in the late 1930s by vaudeville star Eddie Cantor as a play on the contemporary newsreel series "The March of Time"—was originally used for the foundation's annual fundraising event that requested each child donate a dime to help fight polio. You can read more about it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/March_of_dimes

Of course it came as no surprise to learn that Croton was right there in the trenches--everyone was involved, the schools, the scouts, The Croton Lions, the Rotary and many others.

IN THE NEWS" THE WHOLE TRANSGENDER INDUSTRY IS FOUNDED ON TWO FAULTY STUDIES

Two studies that formed the foundation of the transgender industry in the U.S. should never have been accepted by the professional community.

ASHLEY BATEMAN

Two Dutch studies touting the great success of “gender-affirming” medical intervention on youth have been deemed bad research by experts at the Society for Evidence-Based Gender Medicine.

In the report “The Myth of ‘Reliable Research’ in Pediatric Gender Medicine” published earlier this month, researchers describe how the 2011 and 2014 studies that formed the foundation of the transgender industry in the U.S. should never have been accepted by the professional community, falling “unacceptably” short of modern research standards. The studies led to a global movement of wrongly named “gender-affirming care,” resulting in hormone experimentation on youth and, in some cases, irreversible mutilation.
