THE CONTINUED DECLINE OF OUR BELOVED SAN FRANCISCO---GUMP'S MAY LEAVE

A luxury department store in San Francisco threatens to shut up shop after 162 years, describing the city as 'unlivable' for its residents and 'unsafe' for its staff--

"Equally devastating have been a litany of destructive San Francisco strategies, including allowing the homeless to occupy our sidewalks, to openly distribute and use illegal drugs, to harass the public and to defile the city's streets," Chachas continued in his open letter. "Such abject disregard for civilized conduct makes San Francisco unlivable for its residents, unsafe for our employees, and unwelcoming to visitors from around the world." APPEALS COURT FINDS THAT D.C. DISCRMINATED AGAINST PRO-LIFE PROTESTERS

A panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia including two Democratic appointees unanimously ruled that the nation’s capital discriminated against pro-life protesters it arrested on Tuesday.

“In the summer of 2021, thousands of protesters flooded the streets of the District to proclaim “Black Lives Matter.” Over several weeks, the protesters covered streets, sidewalks, and storefronts with paint and chalk. The markings were ubiquitous and in open violation of the District’s defacement ordinance, yet none of the protesters were arrested,” wrote Judge Neomi Rao for the panel, which included appointees of two Democratic presidents: Robert Wilkins (Obama) and Michelle Childs (Biden).

“During the same summer,” observed Rao, “District police officers arrested two pro-life advocates in a smaller protest for chalking ‘Black Pre-Born Lives Matter’ on a public sidewalk.” MORE AT Appeals Court Made Up Of Obama and Biden Appointees Find That D.C. THE VAX-GENE FILES: HAVE THE REGULATORS APPROVED A TROJAN HORSE?

The Vax-Gene Files: Have the Regulators Approved a Trojan Horse? BY Julie Sladden,  Julian Gillespie--AUGUST 16, 2023

The alarming discovery by scientist Kevin McKernan, of DNA contamination in vials of Pfizer and Moderna Covid vaccines has raised significant concern in the scientific community. Meanwhile, the reported finding has attracted criticism from those quick to ‘demonise’ anyone questioning the safety, efficacy, and sanctity of the ‘vaccines.’ McKernan’s detractors – and there have been plenty of them – have criticised everything from lack of peer-reviewed publication to speculation about the viability of the anonymously sent vials.

Now, don’t get me wrong. Criticism and open debate in scientific enquiry are good things. After the three years of censorship and stifled debate in science and medicine one thing is patently clear: freedom of speech is paramount to truth.

Let’s be clear on another thing. The peer-review system is essentially broken. The same players with vested interests in the pharmaceutical industry curiously have the same influence on the research and publication industry. As McKernan rightly points out, ‘[t]he market will validate this finding long before traditional peer review even puts its boots on. Independent wet lab reproduction trumps 3 anonymous readers every time.’ This, then was the motivation behind publishing the results online with a call-to-action for scientists in the field to independently verify the results.

CORTLANDT RECREATION AREA TO BE NAMED FOR FORMER TOWN SUPERVISOR

Welcome to The New Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Cortlandt Recreation Area to be Named for Former Town Supervisor
August 15, 2023Rick Pezzullo

A recreation area on Croton Avenue in Cortlandt will be named this week in honor of former Supervisor Charles DiGiacomo.

The dedication ceremony will take place on Thursday, Aug. 17 at 5 p.m. The facility, located in the vicinity of Walter Panas High School, includes basketball, tennis and pickleball courts.

DiGiacomo, who served five terms as the town’s chief executive from 1980 to 1989, died Dec. 29, 2022, at the age of 82. He resided on Devonshire Court for many years.

“He lived in that area. We wanted to recognize him in some way and his wife and daughter thought this was a good idea,” said current Cortlandt Supervisor Dr. Richard Becker.

DiGiacomo grew up in Ossining and served as a town councilman in Cortlandt before being elected supervisor during an often highly-charged political climate and a time of significant development growth.

He was also very interested in youth and senior citizen programs and was a strong advocate for veterans. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves as a second lieutenant.

DiGiacomo is the fourth supervisor in Cortlandt’s history to have his name memorialized at a town facility.  The town’s swimming pool is named after Charles Cook----read more at Cortlandt Recreation Area to be Named for Former Town Supervisor | The Examiner News
