A  READER ASKED IF THERE WAS ANYTHING IN THE FILES on Ruth Schecter----indeed there is---click on the image to read a blurb from 1980.

For those who don't know,  Ruth Lisa Schecter, was editor of the Croton Review, author of six poetry books, etc.

During the last fifteen years of her life, Schecter lived in Croton. She was a poet and a catalyst of all things creative and died in 1989.

Some families of Sept. 11 victims are outraged after hearing the government is considering a plea deal that would take the death penalty off the table. Some say it depends on what that plea agreement would include, but others firmly say no, it is not fair for the suspected terrorists to live when so many loved ones have died.  Every Sept. 11, Lorraine Seicol visits The Rising, Westchester County's 9/11 memorial in Valhalla.
