1---NY POST--Nearly 20 NYC yeshivas failed to provide education requirements, probe shows

Nearly twenty private schools run by the Hasidic Jewish community failed to provide the education required under state law to students who attended the private religious institutions, a damning and long-delayed city investigation shows.

The report, released late Friday and years in the making, determined that 18 of the academics failed to provide students with an adequate education in secular studies, like English, mathematics and science. WATCH LIVE: Update on fire at lithium-ion battery storage facility in Warwick--Jun 30, 2023, 12:23pmUpdated 11m ago By: News 12 Staff fire at lithium-ion battery storage facility that has been burning since Monday in Warwick is finally out.  Fire officials tell News 12 that while the flames are out, the site is still extremely hot - over 400 degrees last night - so they are still keeping a close eye on it.  Because of the heat, investigators still haven’t been able to get inside to find out exactly what happened.

ON THIS DAY IN 1988 Brooklyn, New York dedicated a bus depot honoring Jackie Gleason and his role as bus driver Ralph Kramden in "The Honeymooners".

For those who don't know, Gleason lived in nearby Cortlandt and was a frequent visitor to the village and Honey's then known as Mary's.
