Raymond Anthony D’Alvia, a resident of Croton-on-Hudson, passed away on June 19, 2022. He was 84. Raymond was born on January 3, 1937 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Carl and Mary Josephine (Rucci) D’Alvia. He was a lawyer for many years. Raymond was active in local politics and served as Supervisor to the Town of Cortlandt. He enjoyed all sports, and his special passion was track and field. He was a gifted storyteller and he loved to entertain and joke with everyone he met. He is survived by his children Carl D’Alvia, Jennafer D’Alvia, Thea D’Alvia, Rachel Whetten and Lauren D’Alvia, and by his sister Patricia Foley and by two grandchildren Maddalena D’Alvia and Elena Whetten. He was predeceased by his brother Robert D’Alvia. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, June 22 from 5-9 pm at Edward F Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand Street, Croton-on-Hudson, NY 10520. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday, June 23 at Holy Name of Mary Church at 10am, 110 Grand Street, Croton-on-Hudson, NY. Interment will be private. My condolences to the D'Alvia family. His Dad was a friend of our family in the 50"s and "60's.
ReplyDeleteCondolences to the D’Alvia family. I knew Ray and all his family, his mom and dad and brother and sister when they were very young.He was an avid track and field guy who was close with my brother Bob, a state champion cross country runner. Rest well, Ray.
