Long before there was a Ben-Hur with Charleton Heston---usually an Easter Sunday feature somewhere---there was the 1925 silent film staring Ramon Navarro. You can read more about the 1925 version here,

To the right is the cover from the souvenir movie program, quintessentially deco and rendered for maximum effect. Indeed, Novarro's skimpy costume in the film caused quite a stir at the time. Billed as the next male sex symbol after the death of Rudolph Valentino, you can read more about him here
