Grants for 'pro-housing' towns? NY has a new housing plan. Here's what it would do. Chris McKenna--New York State Team

Gov. Kathy Hochul's housing plan tanked during New York's legislative session. Now, she has a new approach — New York will prioritize "pro-housing" communities for grants and consider state-owned buildings for future housing builds.

This week, Hochul announced her administration will make pro-housing policies a criteria in awarding competitive grants through eight programs with more than $650 million in total annual funding. More at Inside NY's new plan to build more housing (lohud.com)
