--------A reader had many fond memories of her time in Croton High and with Dr. Kellerhouse.  She remembered this event in particular and wondered if there was anything available online.  Indeed, there is---from 1961 and the Patent Trader.

Again click on the image.

---------A reader was trying to remember the name of a restaurant/bakery that existed at the former Chimney Corners in the late 1970's---

It was called Country Oven---click on the image.

Read more about it at

EverythingCroton: VINTAGE CROTON: HORN-OF-PLENTY & COUNTRY OVEN

(Also includes an article about HORN OF PLENTY.)

---------A reader said they lived in the village for only a few years in the early 1980's---she was trying to remember the name of a store her mother took her to for new "Buster Brown shoes.

It could only be Elliott's.

Click on the vintage 1980's ad from the local directory. Sadly, it closed in the 90's.

For more about Elliotts, go to EverythingCroton: MORE CROTON MEMORIES--ELLIOTT'S DEPARTMENT STORE

-----------A reader was trying to remember the name of "healthy/holistic" business that was once in the Upper Village..

Sorry but without additional info, there are too many options.

You may have more luck with the Croton Historical Society.
