JESSICA DIECKMAN LETTER TO THE GAZETTE

To the editor:

I sincerely appreciate the letter our Croton-Harmon Superintendent, Mr. Walker wrote that was in the email/ Parent Square recently showing community support and sharing sadness regarding the brutal attack and massacre committed by terrorists in Israel. No innocent lives deserve what has happened and continues to happen there, no matter what some may say.

I’m very disturbed to see many people on the streets in NYC cheering on and supporting Hamas in these attacks. I’m also very disturbed to see a BLM (Black Lives Matter, Inc.) chapter and BLM in general supporting Hamas and Palestine. To publicly celebrate the paragliders who descended upon innocent civilians and raped and killed innocent people while taking others hostage is abhorrent!

I was further disturbed to see the student law group of NYU publicly support these terrorist acts as well. Mayor Bill DeBlasio himself came out against this. Mayor Adams and Governor Hochul condemned any support for these Hamas attacks and massacre.

From the beginning, the BLM organization has supported Marxism, explicitly called for dismantling the traditional family unit and now we see them supporting terrorism. On top of this the vast majority of the money this organization raised (many millions if not billions) went to purchase luxury properties for the few top people who run this radical group.

I’m left disturbed and very saddened by this. Clearly BLM is not about helping poor black communities but it is an organization that embezzles money for itself, and has promoted very dangerous and terrorist ideas politically. I hope our schools keep far far away from BLM and NYU and other organizations like them. Clearly these entities have zero respect for human life!
