BY SPECIAL REQUEST: CROTON'S RICHARD MERKIN (Richard Marshall Merkin (1938 – September 5, 2009)--an American painter, illustrator and arts educator. Merkin's fascination with the 1920s and 1930s defined his art and shaped his identity as a professional dandy. He died at his home in Croton after a long illness. One of the EVERYTHING CROTON ELVES stumbled upon this fab post on MERKIN some years ago---it's entitled RICHARD MERKIN: THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER by Alan Flusser; you can read it at https://alanflusser.com/musings-from-alans-desk/richard-merkin
YOU CAN SEE SOME EXAMPLES OF MERKIN'S WORK HERE.
