TOO MUCH CHURCH ETC. ETC. ETC.!!!!! THE HOLIDAY 2024 EDITION!

Looks like this is necessary again.........And now....

TOO MUCH CHURCH ETC. ETC. ETC.!!!!! THE HOLIDAY 2024 EDITION

SORRY........The Answer is Still No.....

Yes from time to time, this blog will get a complaint---or two--and lengthy commentary (we are still being polite) about its "extensive" coverage of local houses of worship, as well as "traditional" service organizations, Israel, Croton history, anything vintage--or God forbid, controversial, etc. The list of complaints seems to grow during the Christmas, Chanukkah, and Easter seasons especially.....

Apparently--once again--in the spirit of fairness and inclusion, there should be equal coverage of any other "faith systems" that exist across the village (and indeed the world), as well as those who practice no religion at all or more "esoteric" beliefs.

As usual, this also includes the social equality and justice issues, gender policy, the work of more (allegedly) "enlightened" local committees and groups, increased coverage of the "climate crisis", less coverage of "the military", more acceptance that our elected officials know what's best, and no discussion of Covid policy.  There must also be total acceptance of low income or affordable housing.  There is no such thing as government censorship, and there is to be no questioning of the school district's DEI policies. Certain publications, be they local or not, MUST be avoided----etc. etc. etc.

Oy. And triple Oy.  You our faithful readers are spared this madness.  The delete key here gets quite a work-out instead.

To these complainers, a reminder: You are fortunate to live in a country where there are (still) numerous outlets for such commentary. This blog, however, is not one of them. It believes in holidays, uses pronouns appropriately, recognizes only two genders, stands with Israel, will always question the narrative, and will never acquiesce to the language police.

If that gives you the vapors......just move along.
