SERVICE INFO AND OBITUARY FOR JOSEPH PATRICK MASOPUST
Joseph Patrick Masopust, a resident of Wallkill, NY, passed away on April 1, 2024. He was 69 years old. Joseph was born on March 18, 1955, in Sleepy Hollow, NY to the late John Joseph Masopust Jr. and Edith Scalzo. Before his retirement, he was a warehouse supervisor for Grand Union and C and S Wholesale. Joe grew up in Croton-on-Hudson, where he became a little league baseball standout before starting at Croton-Harmon High School. He went on to play baseball for Pace University while earning his bachelor’s degree. After graduating from Pace, he returned to his alma mater to give back as a baseball coach. In 1981, he helped lead Croton-Harmon High School to the first ever New York State Public High School Athletic Associations' baseball state championship title.
