FROM THE MAILBOX, NOISE COMMENTS, AND REQUESTS FOR ASSORTED SUMMERFEST PHOTOS

 The blog has received a number of noise complaints overnight that appear to be train-related. Indeed, these were so loud and sustained, your editor woke up twice:

1) Reports of an endless thump-thump-thump pounding.

2) Reports of a loud shrill repeating sound between 2 and 4 am, every fifteen minutes or so

3) What seemed to be "high frequency" sounds that may have been mechanical

Comments will be sent to the board if for no other reason than to document these events; perhaps those affected should do the same; contact info is at Croton-on-Hudson NY | (crotononhudson-ny.gov)
