***United Methodist Church's New LGBTQ Heritage Center Reveals a Denomination That's Too Far Gone....It’s barely been four months since the United Methodist Church (UMC) voted to lift its longstanding ban on “self-avowed practicing homosexuals” serving as clergy. This major step of caving to the whims of culture over the timeless truth of scripture came after half a decade of debate on the issue, which sharply divided the denomination. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT--TRANS AUDREY HALE NASHVILLE SHOOTER MANIFESTO RELEASED

Manifesto of Nashville school shooter finally released, becomes clear ‘why they tried to keep it closed’--September 3, 2024 | Kevin Haggerty |

The full release of “The Nashville Manifesto” prompted less than surprised reactions as the contents led to calls for “a serious national discussion about trans extremism.”

Despite efforts to memory hole the March 27, 2023 tragedy that saw three nine-year-old children and three adult staff killed at Nashville, Tennessee’s Christian Covenant School, on Tuesday The Tennessee Star made the entire journal available for download.

As the documents were released, commentator Steven Crowder, whose “Louder with Crowder” team had been among those pushing back against the stonewalling for information, shared some of the 90 pages from the writings and highlighted messages that read; “If God won’t give me a boy body in heaven then Jesus is a f*ggot,” “I can’t be happy. I am meant to die,” “No brown girls, no love” and “Brown love is the most beautiful kind.”

........Along with the pages that had repeatedly been referred to as a “manifesto” of Audrey Hale, the 28-year-old female killer who identified as a male named Aiden, The Star made note of additional journals obtained by Metro Nashville Police Department officers during an authorized search of the home she lived in with her parents. Alongside FBI and ATF agents, MNPD had seized 20 journals that contained roughly 1,000 pages penned between 2007 and 2022.

“We have documented a massive failure of the mental health system as a root cause of Hale’s reprehensible actions,” said The Star Editor-in-Chief Michael Patrick Leahy in a statement Tuesday.......more at Manifesto of Nashville school shooter finally released, becomes clear ‘why they tried to keep it closed’ (bizpacreview.com)

JUST A REMINDER--CROTON YACHT CLUB, HUDSON RIVER DAY 9/7

Welcome to The New Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

The Croton Yacht Club is happy to announce its annual “Hudson River Day” celebration will be held on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Croton Yacht Club, located at 6 Elliott Way in Croton-on-Hudson.

The mission of the event is to promote interest in the history and ecology of the river, to cultivate future local environmental leaders and to promote, enhance and protect river related recreational resources.

There will be events and exhibits throughout the day targeting both children and adults, focusing on the history and ecology of the river.

Events and exhibits will include: a seining exhibition where local marine life will be captured, displayed and later released; viewing tanks where local marine life can be identified and observed; hands-on exhibits for children such as toy sailboat making, fossil making; sail boat rides, and local artist displays and sales.

Free sailboat rides will be offered by Ferry Sloops aboard their 22-foot sloop-rigged Catboat the “Whimbrel” on a first-come, first-served basis. The sails will depart at 11 a.m., 12 noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Guests can sign up at the Ferry Sloops table in the tent beginning at 10 a.m. for any of the day’s scheduled sail times. There is a limit of 4 passengers per sail. Passengers must be at least 12 years old. Those under 18 years old must be accompanied by parent or adult guardian.

There will also be a youth fishing clinic and contest sponsored by the Hudson River Fisherman’s Association and the Yacht Club. Volunteers will be present during the hours of 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and provide the use of fishing equipment and bait, free of charge.

Fishing rod and reel combinations will also be awarded as prizes. All youths wishing to fish at the Yacht Club must be accompanied by an adult.

The Croton Yacht Club looks forward to coordinating this event because it provides the membership and local exhibitors the opportunity to share their river related knowledge and expertise with the community, especially the children. The organization realizes that only through this transfer of knowledge can it safeguard the future of this great resource, the Hudson River.

Food and beverages will be available including the best fish chowder on the Hudson.

Admission is free so please come and join us in a fun filled, educational and family focused event you will surely enjoy. Environmental organizations, local craft vendors and artists are welcome. For additional information please contact Dennis Kooney at dennis@kooney.net or call 914-271-6384.
