Silver Lake Late Summer Hours & Season Closure

Please note the updated hours for Silver Lake: 

Saturday, August 24th - Sunday, September 1st: Open from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Monday, September 2nd (Labor Day): Open from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Silver Lake will close for the season on Tuesday, September 3rd. We hope everyone enjoys the final days of summer.

Columbia University’s radical anti-Israel group seeks ‘total eradication of Western civilization’--Anti-Israel radicals at Columbia University are pushing for the “total eradication of Western Civilization” — and threatening even more extreme tactics to accomplish their twisted goal until the “empire crumbles.”  Columbia University Apartheid Divest, a coalition of 116 student groups at the Ivy League School whose members set up encampments on the Manhattan campus and stormed Hamilton Hall this past spring, made the explosive claim after “comrades” in Bangladesh ousted former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina following weeks of bloody anti-government protests.

“We are Westerners fighting for the total eradication of Western civilization,” the group wrote in an Aug. 7 Instagram post. “We stand in full solidarity with every movement for liberation in the Global South.” READ MORE HERE.

Ex-Rep. Mondaire Jones — now trying to unseat Rep. Mike Lawler in the Hudson Valley’s 17th District — once backed letting felons vote from prison. 

Yes, you read that right: Jones wanted murderers and rapists helping decide who’s president while they’re locked up. 

And his reasoning is damning for a lot more Democrats than just Mondaire.

In his 2021 push for the law, Jones compared the prohibitions on incarcerated felons voting to a “form of slavery.”

Schwartz's removal was followed by the resignation of Planning Board member Walter Simon.Schwartz says his removal was in retaliation for a decision by some Planning Board members to start an organization aimed at getting grant money to build affordable housing in the county.
