RIVER JOURNAL-----Trains have been stopping in Croton-on-Hudson since before the Civil War, when the first station was completed along the river in 1849. In 1903, electric trains started running from Grand Central Terminal, with Croton chosen as the spot where they would switch from electric to steam power to continue north to Poughkeepsie. That was the first iteration of the Harmon Shop – which over the decades has grown into a 400,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility employing 1,200 people. Tri-Municipal 9/11 Memorial Ceremony
Date: Wednesday, September 11th
Time: 4:00 PM
Location: Croton Landing

Please join us in honoring and remembering all the lives lost on this tragic day. A shuttle van will be available to transport attendees to the Memorial site. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held at the Harmon Firehouse, located at 30 Wayne Street, Croton-on-Hudson.
