ABOUT THAT BROOK STREET CAR FIRE--Just before 9:30pm Monday, the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department was dispatched to a reported Structure Fire in lower Brook Street. 2083 arrived about 2 minutes later reporting a working car fire with exposure issues. Engine 118 was first arriving and stretched a 150’ bumper line to cool the close-by house and extinguish the SUV on fire in the street. Members of Engine 119 & Tower Ladder 44 checked the house for fire extension, finding just radiant heat damage to the vinyl siding. E120, R18 & U14 staged and assisted with traffic control and the FASTeam from Ossining FD was canceled enroute. 2081 & 2082 were also on location.  From dispatch to “fire out” was just shy of 9 minutes - another solid job by Croton’s Bravest.
