FIREFIGHTERS MAKE THE SECOND ROPE RESCUE OF THE WEEK AT CROTON DAM

CROTON, NY — The Croton Dam is a popular Hudson Valley tourist stop, but this week. first responders have been repeat visitors.

For the second time this week, the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department was called to the Croton Dam park for a person in distress. And, once again, the victim required a rope-assisted rescue.

Just after 8 p.m. on Wednesday, the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department, Croton EMS, the Ossining EMS Medic and Westchester County Police were called to the dam for a teen with a leg injury on the trail leading from Route 129/Croton Dam Road down to Croton Gorge Park.
