THE WALL AT THE KATZ/REGAN/MAPLE COMMONS HOUSING PROJECT, POCKET PARK

Welcome to The New Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship---in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

The blog has received many questions and comments about the wall at the "pocket park". It appears there were building issues, and it has been disassembled--for lack of another way to put it. There also has been quite a bit of commentary about this on assorted private and public facebook pages and/or local forums.  It appears the wall will be/is being rebuilt.  Further questions and comments should be referred to village officials and/or staff. Questions about whether this had anything to do with the recent additional tree removal, are best directed there as well.

  1. It was LEANING.

  2. It's a "check the box park" a way for the developer and the village to say "look at the green space we provided". It should have been built in the back away from the road. Who in their right mind wants to sit there and watch the increasing traffic load the village elders are creating?
