As you know, we touched upon this project's possible Coton intrusion when rumors surfaced last year.
The Gazette now has a very thorough article on the CLEAN PATH NEW YORK 175-mile long transmission line bringing solar and wind power from Delaware County to Queens. It will provide 1300 megawatts. For comparison's sake, each of the two former Indian point generatng units was rated at 1,000 megawatts.
PLANS FOR UNDERWATER/UNDERGROUND HIGH VOLTAGE TRANSMISSION LINE UNVEILED (CLICK on the map from the article.)
The exact route is unclear. However, it appears it will traverse the unincorporated portion of the Town of Cortlandt, Lent's Cove, as well as the villages of Buchanan and Croton.
There will be a public information meeting in Ossining on 7/26 (part of the line will impact Ossining and Peekskill). Again, please read the detailed article for more info. The Gazette does not have an online presence. However, it is on sale just about everywhere.
Regarding requests for the Bronx paper on the Clear Path Project, "AN UNJUST TRANSITION", there's this one Analysis-of-Environmental-Impact-of-Proposed-HVDC-Converter-Station-Final-1.pdf (bxius.org)
As always, please do your own research.
