Asylum seekers sent by NYC expected to arrive in Yonkers this weekend

YONKERS - Mayor Mike Spano is expecting as many as 100 asylum seekers to be sent to his city sometime this weekend by New York City.

Christina Gilmartin, spokeswoman for the mayor, said the latest she has heard is that they might arrive Sunday. Earlier, a Saturday arrival had been expected.
